Our application went in last Wednesday. They came back same day asking for more documents ( tax summary as husband is self employed) . The valuation was then booked for yesterday. We are buying a new build so I think it processed by a different team ? Good luck everyone.
mine is a new build as well. I havent heard anything about the valuation yet. and we paid the fee on the 3rd of September.
You’ve not heard anything at all since the 3rd September?
Nothing. almost a month now. Absolutely nothing. they are still asking for more info that doesnt make any sense.
Look at this example: Why did our applicants pay £650 rent in June when their monthly rent payments are £850?
There is absolutely no transaction in our statements with £650 in any month to our landlord. and we also pay £865. not £850.
So i dont know what they are playing at. But i am sure they are trying to find a reason to lend us the money. Disgraceful
We have been at the same boat! Our underwriter tried really hard to fail us. Asking for bank statements from over 10 years ago and asking for all stetements of my current accounts. (I have three) but income and payments are made from only one. She tried really hard but we have complained and now they have booked valuation. Just keep in contact with your broker and push him to push precise. There are ways around if underwriter is full of shi*. :)

Update: Our mortgage has been offered. We submitted full application 22/09, Valuation was complete on 24/09, Full mortgage offer 01/10. We’ve found them quite fast, but our broker has been very good in liaising with us and them throughout it all. Totally understand all cases are treated differently in terms of timescale but that may shed some light for some of you.
  • 22/09 - Full Application in
01/10 - Phoned Precise directly to check progress, needed contract and signed DD mandate and Standard Declaration
They did e-mail my broker on 25/09 to ask for the documents but I haven't heard from him :( Might have been a bit quicker if he had contacted me!

Where my mrs works they have changed the company name some time ago. So on her P60 it shows previous employment, but in fact she is been working there for well over a year now. so now, they have asked why she moved job. and they also requested first payslip from the 1st company and P45 for that company. And contract as well
We have explained that it is the same company. she didnt change jobs. i have also highlighted that payroll number is the same on both payslips. So hopefully they will link this.
lets see what they will say next

I would google and see if you can link the company names online. I have had clients where the name on the company payslips dont match the bank statements (sometimes due to it being a parent company or a takeover) so I google both companies to see if I can link them e.g company a took over company b in x date and send in the Google page along with a written explanation.

We have been declined as they do not accept our new build warrenty . They also won’t refund the valuation fee! Broker is trying with Kensington . So I’m upset .

So sorry to hear this... what was wrong with the warranty? Don't new builds all have the same 10 year warranty? Hope you're okay!
