Congrats SL1999, how long did that take in the end?
My application went in on 2nd July I believe, so around 9/10 weeks! They queried a few things and each time they did it seemed to take another week for example asking for a landline number, then the following week asking my overdraft limit, then the following week questioning incoming transactions on my statement. It’s been a very lengthy process and I’ve been so anxious but that moment of relief when I got the offer made it all worth it! This forum has given me lots of reassurance too. Hang in there everyone.
  • My application went in on Monday (7th), and all documents sent. Keeping everything crossed that it’s a quick decision. Haven’t heard anything at all yet.
  • anyone had anymore luck?

Have you had any updated yet? If yes what stage are you at?

Still nothing :( Have asked my broker for an update, but also not heard back from him!
    I’m not good at waiting!
Not sure if I should have heard something by now
  • @sarcal3813 we submitted our application on the 28th August and apart from asking for a letter from my wife’s employer confirming when she is off furlough we haven’t heard anything.

Has anyone been accepted for a mortgage on furlough? My wage is more than double my wife’s wage so hoping it won’t be a problem

I think if she has a return to work date then you'll be okay as long as you can get a letter confirming so. But I believe there are other lenders who will help whilst on furlough albeit at a slightly higher rate, hopefully your broker will help with that.

Thanks @SL1999 . I hope it's not too stressful for us. I'm hoping by some stroke of luck that it'll go quickly, especially as we've documented what feels like everything down to our inside leg measurements... but realistically I know we should probably expect to sit tight for a while. So pleased you've got your offer though, that's great
  • @sarcal3813  we paid in full for our valuation and product fee so precise already have a the money. Should be getting an update from our broker this afternoon.
