Seller won't sell to buyers that don't meet their requirements

I've just added an item to my basket and I get a message saying Seller won't sell to buyers that don't meet their requirements. So can someone tell me what this means and how do I know what there requirements are.

It could be anything. You may not have a credit card on file, have too many unpaid strikes, been blocked by them, live in a country they do not ship to.... Have you tried asking the seller? Failing that you'll have to find someone else to buy from.

    The requirements are private.

Judging by the amount of issues you seem to have on ebay, the seller has had a lucky escape.

It is incredibly difficult for a seller to block any buyer. As has been said any buyer with more than 5 feedback is almost impossible to block unless they have policy breaches or unpaid strikes.

There is only one other requirement that can block a good buyer, and that is the 'more than X amount of items in less than X amount of days from the same seller'. I used to bulk buy from a seller and got caught in that one as I was buying a dozen or so items a day via auction so they set their buying limits to block me. However, on that occasion the reason for the block was clear as when I tried to bid I got a message saying 'seller requirements block buyers from bidding on more than 6 items in a 5 day period' (or something similar).
