Why is this so hard
I feel like I'm starting to obsess over my debt lately. Although I have been slowly chipping away at it this last year it's only the last month or so that I'm concentrating on my debt. I had the wedding to distract me before.
I just want to get it cleared. I'm wishing my life away at the moment counting down the days to the next pay day to get more cleared. I'm pleased I've paid off £4700 but it's overshadowed with regret and anger with the thought I could have used that money for holidays or savings.
I just feel down and alone lately and annoyed with myself for getting myself into this mess. I know my debt isn't going to go away over night.
My mood is low and I'm irritable. I can't be fun to be around. I feel sorry for my husband.
I'm going to read more diaries to help me stay positive and focused.May 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

Happy Friday!
No plans this weekend really. Hoping to do another car boot sale on Sunday but otherwise a quiet one. Got a food shop being delivered tomorrow which will see us through the week so I'm hoping for a couple of cheap days.
No NSD's this weekI've been ill so stocked up on medicine and I've been buying the odd treat (chocolate) here and there.
We actually have a few quiet weekends coming up which is good for the bank balance.
My bank account is looking a little bit sorry for itself. I'm going to pay in the cash I made from the last boot sale today and if I do one again this Sunday I could just make it to the end of the month without using the cc or dipping into honeymoon fund!

Thank you Mrs Save. I'm definitely feeling a lot better than I was. The only plus to being ill was saving money on travel the two days I had off work. I see you've had the sickness bug in your household this week too
You're right about pay day! The morning I get paid it's great but by that evening all the money has gone out and I'm waiting for the next one :rotfl:May 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

You're not the only one waiting for payday! You are doing so well though, and have come so far! Would it be easier to break it up into mini goals or chunks?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thank you clearmydebts
I really appreciate the encouragement. Means a lot to know I'm not alone.
I have set myself a target to half my debt by October to £5842. My next target is to get my debt down to £4500 by Christmas.
I also have to save £750 for our honeymoon by September.
I'm getting there.
Managed to do another car boot this morning!
Only got £65 this week. Hubby got £40. Not as good as last week but we are both happy with that
Going to pay it into the bank tomorrow. The extra boot sale money will cover my dentist app for two fillings and travel to work until the end of month
I might actually make it to the end of the month with money in my account! Might!May 2015: £11685.56 / November 2017: £2076

2 NSD's this week so far
Today won't be though as I've got a dentist appointment which will probably cost a fortune
I'm having two nhs fillings. I think one is around £53. I'm having two done though so I'm estimating £106 for both. Although the receptionist told me £53 for both I don't believe her.
I've got £220 in my account to last me until pay day on the 26th.
Way more than I would usually have but I need £70 for my travel to work next week and whatever the dentist is going to cost me later. Also can't forget my £15 gym direct debit (like I did last month)!
I only have this money because of the 2 car boot sales I have done. If I hadn't done them I would be using either the spending credit card or dipping into my honeymoon fund.
After I paid my car boot money into the bank I paid £20 into my honeymoon fund to round it up to 400. Will need to put £350 in there on pay day which is doable.

I survived the dentist
it was horrible. Two fillings done and a very very numb mouth. Looks like I'm going to need more work done in a couple of months
On the plus side it only cost £34!! The receptionist wasn't lying when she said £53! That included the £19 check-up o had already paid for. So what I thought was going to cost over £100 only cost me £34
Very pleased with that but I'm in pain and feeling sorry for myself.
