Drugs ordering reminder

I was wondering how everyone remembered to order repeat prescriptions from the chemists ?
Is there an android app ?
All that I can see - is a reminder to TAKE your tablets - nothing to remind you to order them....

Set a reminder on the calendar? Or use one of the chemists that offer a repeat reordering service. You don't need an app to do that for you.

When I take the last tablet strip but one out of the box I know I need to order more. Could you do something similar? I also sometimes write it in my planner.

They manage mine and deliver, too. If there are any I don't want, as a one-off, I call and ask for a temporary hold on those particular ones, but otherwise they deliver around every 28 days.

Boots lost my custom 6 months ago - they failed to even provide my necessary drugs given 1 weeks notice - I now use a local chemists !!
I don't think that they have a repeat service

Use your calendar on Android and set a recurring reminder.

I have one set to remind me every 3 weeks for a beauty treatment. I'm not only reminded by an alert I see it when flicking through the calendar in general.

They have made the odd mistake, but my tramadol, which cannot be ordered electronically, was not ordered, they went across to my GP surgery and got things sorted, immediately. Any drug they haven't stocked, has been obtained the next day, too.

I gave up with Boots doing the repeat ordering, 1 month out of 6 it was ready on time & problem free. They were not bothered when I complained either.

I had to resort to dropping the paper slip in store & collecting around a week later until my Surgery finally offered web services.

Now I order online at my Surgery and Boots collect from them- locally Boots is the only viable option for me, but I will not let them handle the ordering again.
  • i use gmail calender function to generate an email to remind by self of recurring events. you can set it to email you every 28 days- it works.
  • When the last tab sheet comes out of the box, a quick phone call and I pick up the next Saturday.
