Hi everyone.
The weather is terrible, lashing rain and thunder. I am sitting looking out at a soggy garden too.
Anyway, was just dreaming and thought, now if I could, where would I go on a round the world trip? So many places, so little time!
Say I had two months. Budget of 25k - flights extra. (yep dreamland, but whatever!) Where shall I go? And no, a round the world cruise would not appeal to me. Sorry.
I have travelled a good bit, so will be interested in your replies, in case I have already been there. Will let you know!
I cannot visit everywhere on the planet, so what are the absolute must sees in your view?
Over to you!
This is just a fun thread. A bit of escapism.
I will understand if no one replies aswell. Just throwing it out to help my bad weather mood.

Angkor Wat. I first heard about this temple complex (all that remains of a great lost city) when I was about eight, in the mid-1960s. Over the following years I visited many exquisite places in about 55 different countries, and finally made it to Cambodia earlier this year. Angkor Wat was even better than I had imagined it to be.
If you had an even higher budget, there is a place called Chester that is to the west of a great port city with a strong musical tradition. Chester is supposed to have some intricate and well-preserved ruins from an ancient civilisation, but I have never been able to afford to visit.0 -
Back to Australia to see my DD and other family & go on to Bora Bora, Tahiti, Bali, New Zealand, Tasmania.
I could easily spend 2 months just on those places, any longer and it would be some parts of the USA and a few places in the Caribbean that I've already been to and a few that I haven't.0 -
I've never thought the money is particularly important.
One of our most memorable trips was Eastern turkey, and larticulalry nemrut Dagi. Easter island statues on top of a mountain 2000 years old and only 4 hours flying time from the uk.0 -
I did a round the world trip last year. This year I'm going somewhere different.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0

I THINK! lol.
Getting the saving box ready anyway. You never know!0 -
If you are after sun, sea and wonderful friendly people on the Caribbean coast, all at a reasonable price then consider the small town of San Pedro in the country of Belize. Easy access to much of Central America and very close to the ancient Maya ruins. Fantastic coral reefs just offshore and great diving opportunities. My home for an all too brief 2 years back in the 90's and my future home in 3 years 10 months:
