How many current accounts with the same bank?

Does anyone know how many current accounts I can have with the same bank? I have chosen lloyds for my basic account and want one purely for my bills, did and so and another purely for my spending. Can this be done or would I need to go to another bank?

I'm not aware of any limits with Lloyds. Indeed, I've had 4 or 5 at a time previously. Others will have held more.

But is Lloyds the best? I mean, what interest/Rewards will they pay on your bills money and spending money until it's spent?

here's isn't a set rule, it's up to each bank how many they will give you and they will all have their own criteria. It might depend on how credit worthy they think you are. Two or three should be no problem whatsoever, certainly if you don't want an overdraft on all the accounts.

I notice that you said "basic" account though. Do you just mean an ordinary current account, or do you actually mean the Basic Bank Account? If the latter, they might only let you have one because basic bank accounts are usually reserved for those with bad credit who can't get an ordinary account.

Thanks for the replies, yes it's the basic bank account due to debt. Currently with Santander but switching to lloyds as they look the most promising. Will try and if they say no then that's cool.

Update-just applied for another account with lloyds and they have now given me a classic account! Will use this as my main account and the basic account as my spending account!
