Lost Decree Absolute!

Hi all, first time poster here. Basically, i get married in 7 weeks, and been informed i need my decree absolute to remarry. Ive looked everywhere and cant find it, the court that i got divorced at has closed down and im getting pulled from pillar to post trying to find where to get a copy, been given 5 different courts to try and still no good. My question is, would my decree absolute be the same as my ex wifes as she has said i can use hers if i cant get mine, she is the mother to my children and we still get on. Just not sure as to whether they will be exact copys and allowed or not? thank you for any help, im starting to panic now.

I believe so, I'm sure I lent my ex my copy when he re-married.

you can use hers.. they are identical.. I asked when I ordered replacements of mine because I was curious.

I got married last year and couldnt find mine nor could my hubby to be find his.

I was told by the registrar that my ex husbands would not do and I had to have my own. (never did find out what the difference was).

I got mine from the court we divorced at but in my now hubbys case the court was no longer there. We were given an address and phone number of the court which held all the area records and he had to apply to them.

I think there was a fee of £10 ?but in both cases the people we spoke to at the 2 offices both did it free for us.
