As this was your first post on the MSE forum. How did they get your details from here? Not that personal information is available in any event. Seems a few broking houses are short of business judging by recent activity on this particular sub forum recently.

Ah... This is another odd one. When I called a landline number from the Safe Finance site it came up as Money *Save* Expert. (Money Save Expert is another of their companies.) When I was originally called I thought the very similar name (which I heard over a less than perfect signal) was referring to here.

I haven't heard of these personally, not to say they aren't legitimate though.

I would question how they obtained your contact details if you wasn't expecting their call, or if you haven't made any recent on-line enquiries.

It appears that my details were passed on by Money Supermarket because I forgot to tick a box at some stage.

The company does, however, appear to be legitimate as I called the company for the FCA registration number and they confirmed that it is one of their trading names and that they do know the individuals involved.

Maybe the OP works for the same company and is druming up some business?

Haha! No, although I understand your caution. In fact this has been a good reminder to me to maintain my policy of not taking these calls. This time they caught me on a day off when I was in less of a hurry to put the phone down again.
