Will this improve my credit history

Am coming to end of my debt relief order soon. I applied online today for an iD (the Carphone Warehouse network) Sim Only. It's a rolling 30 day plan costing only £4.00 per month.
I have been accepted and passed the credit check- which they say is much more easy to be approved for than a handset and sim plan.
So my intention was to pay this £4.00 every month over the next couple of years to build my credit history again. Of course for the next 5 years my bankruptcy will still show on my credit files...
Question is: will this sim only help my credit file recover ? It's definitely a credit agreement and not a pay as you go like giff gaff. After sometime of making payments is it likely I could upgrade to a handset without a further credit check ?

To be honest id try Network 3...im sure they credit check but must be the easiest network to get a deal with.
I was turned down by the 30 day rolling contract sims (tried 3 different providers) yet network 3 approved me for 12 month contract instantly.
Believe they half half price offers so well worth a try.0
