Bear in mind that the price guides you have access to may give a different value for the car than the guides the Insurers use. The price guides the public have access to state in their T&Cs that they are not to be used for insurance valuing purposes0 -

because its done twice the mileage of mine and had more owners. Traders at this price range are best avoided as they are mainly con men / liars. Private sellers are much more trustworthy.0 -

am very interested as to how you got on here, any other relevant facts such as did they actually inspect the car etc?
as to comments about private sellers not sure you are right there, the percentage of value to a private sale vs a trader has a much higher motivation to be dishonest, plus the consumer protection in a retail sale has some value.0
