Laminate Flooring Cost and Fitting

Hi
Can anyone provide a rough estimate of how much it would cost to lay 22m sq of laminate flooring, at trade prices. Including removal and re-fitting of skirting board.
Any guidance much appreciated

It depends what quqlity of flooring you go for. You cam get flooring at £4/m or £25/m. Plus what quality of underlay are you looking at?

I think the OP is asking about the fitting costs that should not change much between brands although some are much easier than others.

Yes, it was the fitting cost I was after.

The laminate I'd be getting is from B&Q, about £18/m.

I'd expect it to be a standard/decent easy enough to fit together. There are some tricky edges in the room despite the quantity needed, but probably straight forward enough for a pro.

So, any approximate cost fitting on 22/m, including removal and replacement of skirting (skirting should just come off and go back on)
  • I'm possibly resurrecting a long dead thread here. I thought I would reply anyway as I am doing some research on a new laminate floor for myself and wanted to share a little bit of info.

Going rate for fitting laminate seems to be about £11-£12 per sq/m

I'm looking at stuff from a company called flooring supplies who can either supply or supply & fit. They charge £12 per sq/m to fit laminate and work nationwide. (well they have a network of fitters they use)

I've been looking at all sorts of stuff for our place. We have a fitter we used before and we are going to use him again. With laminate flooring the quality of the flooring makes a huge difference as does the competency of the fitter. Nearly everyone I have spoken to has raved about quick-step as the best product to fit. They all say to steer clear of the cheaper stuff from the large DIY places.

Quick step can be had online for £12-£28ish depending on what product line they have. We had their entry level product before and it looked great. The more expensive stuff has features like bevelled edging, thicker planks, waterproofing etc.
