I made the mistake of venturing onto another thread today. Never again. Such horrible judgemental and nasty posts. Why do people feel the need to be so spiteful? I have retreated to my spiritual home here, I don't post often but I really appreciate the outlook and wisdom of the likes of Jackie and Mrs L.0

Hello everyone,
Late posting today as had to leave early this morning to do an errand before work. Home now and just finished lunch which was a salad with some of the leftover chicken from yesterday.
Must admit to feeling very tired, my tinnitus is playing up a treat so constant whistling in my ear which is wearing and suspect that's why I didn't sleep well.
So don't intend doing much in the way of chores this afternoon, the dogs blanket is on the line after a good wash, ditto the large bath mat from the main bathroom, got to love an early start
Take care folks x0 -
Afternoon all,
Raining here so no washing done, I did everything over weekend but we went to beach yesterday so have towels and beach clothes to wash. I tidied and hoovered the downstairs of the house. DW has been on.
I had a home visit from midwife today to do my birth plan. Whilst waiting for her to arrive I made two batches of soup, one celery soup and one roast carrot and chickpea soup. I had one bowl for lunch and have 7 portions to freeze ready for when baby is here. I also have made a huge pan of simple tomato pasta sauce to go in freezer too. I need to clean the spare fridge freezer before using it so will either do that later or tomorrow morning. I have a big Tesco delivery coming tomorrow to build up a store cupboard for the first few mental weeks :rotfl::rotfl:.
Also working on a cross stitch for the baby.

Afternoon everyone, we had a lovely trip to the arboretum this morning, we're members so it cost us the petrol to get there and it was so lovely to just take our time and wander under the trees for as long as we wanted to. Cake and tea was taken in the caf! (very nice it was too) and then we wandered round the winter garden and along the millennium walk with it's glorious herbaceous borders. Home for a spot of lunch and then I took Cookie for an amble round the village with the scent on just cut hay on the breeze, it was gorgeous. It sometimes amazes me that people don't appreciate just being, and for us just being when it doesn't cost a penny is the best of all.
Just rescued a tiny young starling from inside the woodstove in the lounge, I heard a scrabbling noise and cracked the door open to see and there he was just sat in a corner. I got an old towel and he just let me pick him up, didn't struggle or squawk, so I laid the towel on the lawn and flipped open the bit covering him and off he flew, lovely!!! No soot in the stove either, we must be burning at the right temperature!
Hope you've all had a nice day, we're overcast here but it's warm in the breeze so nice to walk in, Lyn xxx.0 -
Afternoon. Yesterday we had my brother in law round for lunch and a nice roast beef dinner was had with all the trimmings. Dishwasher had to go on twice ! Son sewed up his belt loop and also treated the rust on his new to him bike. As we had nothing on tv planner we've been watching dvds and so far have watched an Inspector Morse and The History Boys.
Today weather has been mixed but managed to get 3 loads of washing on line and most dry. Trying to get organised a bit as daughter finishes school on Friday as she has 2 weeks work experience . Also both kids have birthdays soon.
Hugs to those who want/ need them.0 -

DD accuses me of walking as if I had a wooden leg when I first get up from a chair. I have been taking special vitamins and fish oils and using a pain gel which seems to be helping. Losing some more weight would help even more so I am doing my best to be sensible.
We spent yesterday walking round the Trafford centre and I got a lot of exercise. today's lunch was a salad so hope I lose weight this week as well as last week.
Builders are going to try to remove the huge fish talks and tidy up the back garden this week which will be a tremendous relief as eventually I should have somewhere nice to sit outside.
Older dd came round after a dentist's visit so made her some soup and a soft roll which was easy to eat. Last night we took advantage of a special sale and ordered some clothes online for middle dd to try and see if she likes them. Everything was £25 and under and today when I looked they were £69 to £99 each.
I cleared another big box of stuff and gave it to the builder to take to the charity shop for me. I realised that to try to find one particular thing would send me crazy so have decided to just sort one big box at a time to "stay" or "go". The fact that boxes keep having to be moved around to get work done does not help.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

gran3 thank you honey ,I don't know why some people are so nasty, just as well they don't inflict their nastiness onto us happy people on here. I find that folk who are like that rather sad, as life is far too short to be grumpy. Stick with us jolly people sounds like a better plan
