    ive switch the updates to disabled, so now the svchost.exe is virtually nil, not ideal but looks like ill have to do a clean install in the future, at least the anti virus is working

    I wonder if some system files got corrupted during the upgrade to Win7. You could try running the System File Checker and repairing the files.

    First open an elevated command window:
    - Go to the Start menu
    - Type "cmd"
    - Right-click the icon and choose "Run as administrator"

    Then run this command at the prompt:
    sfc /scannow

    no luck, tried and returned

    windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations
