Android Pay

I am thinking of using the Android Pay app - it's supported by LLoyds - I would be interested if anyone else uses it and what they think about it.
I like the idea that it's very secure - retailers don't get your card details.

I wouldn't bother.
Same with Apple Pay.
Until it is as prevelent as debit cards, or at least contactless there's no point in relying on it.
Not all places accept contactless as yet and until they do, XXX-Pay is worthless.0 -
I've used it on the tube, it works OK but is pretty slow to get to the point where the payment is authorised and the barrier opens compared to an Oyster card (I haven't tried contactless so I don't know how that compares). As a visitor to London I've only used it at times when it hasn't been busy, I wouldn't be keen on holding up an angry mob behind me at rush hour.0

I use Apple Pay most of the times and since launch have only had one issue and that turned out to be the terminal. I have used it when I have forgotten my wallet.
As with everything it is personnel choice but I'm happy with it both in terms of convenience and ease.

Well my new NFC enabled phone arrived today - registered and went to the pub to test!! Each authorisation takes a fraction of a second, very very impressed!0

In all fairness the majority of big high street retailers accept contactless now - and my experience today suggests android pay is quick, easy to use and the dogs danglies!!0 -

I agree (although I'm using Apple Pay) that it's quick and easy to use.
Android Pay will obviously reach a larger market given that it runs on an NFC capable device with Kit Kat 4.2 or higher and doesn't need pairing with a Watch for those phone users who want Apple Pay without an iPhone that supports it *cough*iPhone 5/5s*cough* :rotfl:It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
