My OH and I are staying in Ambleside in early August with our 2.5 year old. We have stayed in the Lake District many times and love the area but this was all when we were child free. What actives / places to visit do you recommend with a two year old in tow?

Grizedale Forest There are different walks with different levels of difficulty and some are suitable for a pushchair.
At the visitor centre there is a big outdoor play area which is free.
