    how did you get 33?

At present the op works 43.8 weeks and earns 8.2 weeks off including bank hols, pro rata for working 38 weeks works out at 33 days or 6.6 weeks.

    no workings

    The correct calculations is

    8.2 * 38/43.8 = 7.114 not 6.6

    Of course, my bad. 38 x 18.72%=7.11.

Except there aren't exactly 52 weeks in the year. 365.25/7 = 52.18 so currently the OP is working 43.98 weeks.

I think the answer to what the salary would be is about £19k, but confirm the exact figure with your employer.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

There may be 52.18 weeks but holidays are calculated on 52 for simplification.

the real number of work days varies year to year depending which day 1st Jan falls(and leap years) most places keep it simple.

    260days(52weeks)
261days(most years have this No of weekdays)
