Is it really sensible to change?

Phone is with BT and internet with Plusnet. The timing of both tariff changes and my LRS give me chance of reorganisation,

On examining my last twelve months' phone bills, taking into consideration things outside my phone plan that were charged, I reckon the potential saving is £20 (6%), on the bare scheme £13.

AFAIAC, both in their current roles have been totally satisfactory, so what would other members feel about adding phone to Plusnet?

is their phone service good enough to make that change for an, at max, £20 annual saving, which incidentally I have no great need to make?

I was in a very similar position last year. (but with BT & EE )

BT put their prices up AGAIN! and I moved when my LRS completed.

    BT were very high maintenance.

For example they gave free evening & weekend calls for 12 months, but if you didn't login and commit for another 12 months they would start charging.

Caller Display was free or a while if you locked in for 12 months, but again you had to login and do some stuff.

It was just very sneaky if you didn't put things in your calendar.

I moved both to the same company which is always a good idea.

And I get caller display for free.
I got anytime calls for hardly any money.
    Voicemail for free.

(these are EE specific), but you get the idea.

I'm much happier, and its lower maintenance. (more time to keep an eye on Gas prices!)

From some sources I've heard that getting phone faults fixed is more difficult if you leave BT as supplier. PN have no system to let you have redirection to mobile, and costs are down to you for the OOO period, an unquantifiable potential disbenefi.t

Basically whoever you are with, you need to convince them it's a problem that isn't your fault. Once through that they log the fault onto open reaches system to be fixed.

I've been through it with EE and it seamed ok.

Regarding Mobile redirects I guess it depends how vital your calls are.
