Hi All,
Just after some advice, my wife and I are expecting EWC 5th March.
She was in a perm role with a school from
Sept 2010 - August 2015.
She then went onto to do supply teacher via an agency Sept 2015 until Sept 2016
She is going back to the school she left Sept 2016 onwards.
She was doing 2 days a week at on a long term contract until the end of term. So we are trying to work out continuous service and what entitlement she will have.
Thanks in advance!

She would only be entitled to SMP from her employer if employed on or before 4th June 2016.
There is an SMP calculator on the gov site that will confirm this.
So as she only started with the current employer in September she wouldn't be entitled to SMP.
She may be able to claim Maternity Allowance.
She should also check of her employer has any contractual maternity pay.0 -
