I need some advice on selling some old GCSE books in eBay. I plan to sell them only most are not selling or selling for small money. Recently I haven't had much luck on eBay, my items did not sell so now I have asked MSE as a last resort. What do I do????

Have you tried Amazon?
Also, bear in mind there's probably a particular time of year that those books will be desirable - beginning of term, or just before exam time - depending on the type of book.
HTH.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I would have thought the start of the school year would also be a good time. I have been watching some SQA past papers and they seem to be selling alright just now.0

Depends on the subjects as well. Maths is a good allrounder, as is science, but they tend to sell better end of nov/begining of december (most schools do exams then), again in march, and then main exams in may. This time of year, most people have just shelled out for uniforms, bags, most might have already ordered the books.
I should sell mine as well, i bought dozens of past papers and books to help me.Inside me lives a skinny woman crying to get out - but I can usually shut her up with cake!0 -
Is it just your books that haven't sold, or is it the books in general? Do an ebay search see if others are selling, if not then probably the books themselves are not 'sellers', if others are selling then compare your auction against theirs and see where there are any differences.
Also like Fay says check out Amazon as well.
Many 'school' textbooks go out of date quite quickly as the curriculum changes almost yearly and students will obviously want the most up to date book that deals with the modules they are sitting. However, do a little more research and see if this is the case.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
