A new leaf, feeling incredibly disgusted with myself.

I honestly think it becomes habit when shopping.

My dd does home economics, it's great, to a certain extent. No weighing out ingredients etc anymore !!. Her and her best friend cook here and her house there 12, though both lots of parents encourage and there going to have there own bakery !!.

I'm not criticising as I probably spend to much also, but I would say meal plan. I spend £80 for 5 that includes all meals pack lunches etc for 5. All adults really a week.

Not to be rude or nagging Annie, but are you really coming back?

You have a history of posting that you feel that you spend too much, then run and never come back :(

Looks like you were right Suki. It's a shame as I was enjoying reading this thread, there were some really good posts.

I'm concerned because they were very emotive words used. Plus reading other posts from the op also point to someone in turmoil with spending

When my parents got their first big chest freezer, we put a rug on top of it and had a picnic. Just me and my brother, and we had onion rings from the freezer with meat paste sandwiches. It was that big it's in the background of many family photos.

Should we keep posting with ideas? It could help others? Jackie O always has some great advice.

From the first post I would suggest that what is done is done and perhaps time now for a fresh start. I hate waste but there are some things in my freezer I know will not get used. I confess that sometimes I do slip them into the bin or cook them up for the dog.
I have got a small chest freezer and an American ff. But they are so full. I am going to make a determined effort to menu plan and get it sorted starting with the oldest stuff. So woolly mammoth steaks for tomorrow.
