I have some disposable toric lenses I wear occasionally. My optician has never actually given me my exact prescription for them, because they're only made in certain strengths, so I get ones that are pretty close. Overall I have better vision with glasses, but the contact lenses are reasonable. Maybe I'm unlucky, you may fare better if you try them.

I have toric dailies, I pay £13 per month per eye.
    !

Maybe my prescription is too high? I was told by both Boots and Vison Express that they didn't offer dailies for toric lenses, only monthly and that I'd only be able to get the soft type in a near-enough-but-not-actually-the-same prescription. This was only 2 years ago, the same year I tried absolutely every type of soft lenses Vison Express offered (none worked for me, I think I remember testing out 9 or 10 different paids) the Optician explained that it wouldn't be that much better with toric lenses as the astigmatism plus short sightedness made it very difficult to get the prescription the same as mine.

Mark Ennovoy are about £75 a lens, most people aren't happy spending £150 a month for contacts regardless of how much they say they'd give their right arm for custom soft lenses.

Ouch! And I thought my glasses lenses were expensive! (£400 a pair-before the frame fee, but last a great deal longer than a month!)

Exact same here, they don't do dailies on a high prescription.

So I got as close a match in monthly lenses and managed pretty well with them ( couldn't drive at night in them though) However as they are designed to be worn constantly for a month, they arent designed for cleaning, and I developed an ulcer. So my lens wearing days are over until they make high prescription lenses in dailies
