I think the press will love this one, especially the bay marked 'car' or 'cars'!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So you think I have a good case for defence? Does anyone know what my maximum cost exposure will be if I lose?
The hospital aren't willing to help any further, I've been stonewalled.0 -
It was a £50 fine which I ignored. I have been sent a court claim form for £50 plus court fee £35 plus legal costs £50.
Somewhere near the above. No large costs allowed in small claims. No biggie even if you lost!Does anyone know what my maximum cost exposure will be if I lose?
Yes you have a case to defend it. Have you acknowledged? Show us the defence you intend to submit then...based on all the other defences you find on this forum when you search. There are LOADS and some of the points are generic, you will see.
As long as you have acknowledged this, come back here with something by way of defence wording, for us to work with, and we'll help.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When you say acknowledge it, I don't know what I have to do there. Do you mean acknowledge the court claim? Do I phone the court? I assumed that submitting my defence would be the next step, or settling.0

Explained in several threads, please read other court defence threads too, do not stay here in splendid isolation, getting just small snippets of advice. Have you read the NEWBIES FAQs thread, heading 'Small Claim?' and clicked on and read in details, Bargepole's advice on what to do and when?
He tells you all of this.
