Car Insurance options

Hi. I'm hoping to change cars in the v near future but my car insurance is up for renewal in the next few days. Any suggestions as to what I can do so that I don't get stung (by cancellation charges/amendments) when I change vehicles? I'm still looking around so I can't say for sure what my next vehicle will be. Many thanks for all informed practical advice.

Sell your current car on the day the insurance expires and dont get insurance until you buy another car?

If you cannot do that that find a company that is going to be cheap for your current car and your new car and with low admin fees.

My insurer charges £15 to swap cars, plus any adjustment on premium.

It's possible that an insurer won't accept your new car so until you know what it is, you will have uncertainty over acceptability and price.

I would go with an insurer who allows online changes without admin charges.

Cheaper is not always better. Usually the cheap policies have many more exclusions.

Without knowing all your personal details nobody can recommend anyone.

If they did recommend a company, they may charge triple to what you pay now. Do you want to pay more to save an admin fee?
