Ideas for a short break near Perugia ?

Mrs nollag and I are going to a wedding in Perugia, Umbria next week, and have a few days off after the wedding.
We are looking for a quiet village somewhere near the city or the airport (ideally on a train link).
Does anyone have any suggestions for locations? It would be great if you could suggest some hotels / B&Bs also

Assisi is tiny but unbelievably beautiful place and not far at all from Perugia (5-10 miles). It’s got beautiful cafes and restaurants plus views that’ll blow you away.
Enjoy Perugia, it’s a great place (I’ve got friends there and have been quite a few times). My eyes! The goggles do nothing!0 -
Thanks LL
Any recommendations for accomodation? We would prefer a pension / B&B rather than a hotel.
Don't want anything too expensive. Less than £100 per night ideally.0 -
Sadly I've never stayed over because of staying nearby with friend's parents. I will ask my friend if he knows anywhere but probably best not to rely on me for this though becuase obviousy he probably won't have stayed there either. Perhaps other moneysavers have stayed in Assisi and know somewhere good?My eyes! The goggles do nothing!0

If you stay in Assisi bear in mind the train station is at least 2 km's from the town. I think accomodation will be expensive as are the cafes. During the day it's rammed with tourists, although most are day trippers and have left by tea time.
A better option is Spello. It's only a few km's further down the line. The train station is short walk from the town and the views are every bit as good as they are from Assisi.0 -
Thanks Jonny. Again, where could we stay?0
