He took your advice and took all of his qualifications off his CV, just stuck with the reliable, hardworking, good timekeeping, follow instructions etc and was immediately offered 2 factory jobs, and accepted one (started yesterday)!
This will tide him over while he's waiting for the other job in September.

Good on ya for updating the thread - the fairytale ending to this story was that bugslet had taken him on as an HGV driver and he was trucking off into the sunset with the strains of "convoy" playing out over the airwaves.....
