Google Privacy Statement

When are those gits at Google ever going stop forcing me to read their rotten privacy statement (not that I actually do read it!)?Every week I'm blagged by a screen that forces me to read it - again! before I can proceed. I'm seriously thinking of using a different search engine.

Do you regularly clean out cookies? Maybe the consent notification is stored as a cookie.

Yes, I do clear out cookies quite frequently. So maybe this a Google ploy to stop you doing it .

My browser clears cache and cookie on exit and I never get asked to read a privacy statement......Are you using Chrome as your web browser by any chance?

Using IE11. This only happens with google.co.uk. Other country-specific versions, and google.com, don't do it.

Worked it out. This bum Google nag screen - which won't let you proceed unless you comply with its instructions - is cookie-linked and with a one-week time-out. Consequently if you delete cookies every day all is fine. Also fine if you never delete the Google cookies. If however, like me, you sometimes let it go over a week before clearing cookies then up it pops again.

What's the best search engine, Google aside?

Why? You aren't forced to use it.

Even though it's a bad analogy (I wasn't aware we got a choice on the matter???), if I don't like the weather I don't go out into it.;)....So, your point is?
