Data Older than 6 Years on my Credit Record

Hi,

I've recently discovered that my understanding of the 6 year rule wasn't quite right. I'd assumed all data older than 6 years disappears. In my case, this appears not to be true.

The anomaly, if it is such a thing, is on accounts that I have closed within 6 years standard time frame. On these, 6 years of data prior to the close date is stored on my record.

I.e. I closed an account Jan 2013. The data accessible for this account goes back to Jan 2007.

So in theory, at some point almost 12 years of data will be accessible through my record.

Is there anyway I can eradicate this? Is it correct?

Thanks.

Actually this is not happening on my Noddle / Call Credit report. The data stops at 6 years.

It is happening on my Experian record.

Is this right? Can I fix it to 6 years?
