Credit rating (not returning application?)

I have no problems getting a credit card and was just about to take out a good 0% card pre Brexit to make some electrical purchases from Hong Kong.
I have received the application to sign but since leaving the EU prices have shot up and I'm going to wait until the end of the year and reapply for either the same card or different if a better offer exists then.
Will not returning the application effect my credit rating in any way?
I cant see how it would but just checking.
Thanks in advance.

It will mean that the available credit wouldn't show on your files. However, the search would remain.0

Is that a bad thing?0 -
It's not a good thing or a bad thing. It's simply a thing.
It's up to each lender as to whether they think you have too much credit, too little, too inexperienced with credit and so on.0 -

Didnt think it was significant, thankyou for your time.0 -

It is said that hard searches on your credit history affects your ability to get credit but the number of them is debated. Certainly this month I have seven with no adverse effect at all. So either the situation has changed or it never existed in the first place.0 -

I presume it's not the actual prices that have changed, but the exchange rate from GBP to HKD got worse.
Whether that rate will be better (or significantly worse) in six months' time, is anyone's guess.0
