Issue with Eon

I've had an issue with Eon which has been ongoing for approx a year and a half regarding incorrect meter details and readings.
It has been raised as a complaint for over the 8 weeks required to take it to the ombudsman but from what I've seen that looks like a waste of time.
Is there anything I can do apart from push Eon for as much compensation as possible? Because I have have what I think is a debt of around £800

Good morning amethystrose,
I'm sorry that you've had these metering issues with us
It sounds like you've done the right thing and raised a complaint, this process will need to be followed though, it won't be a case of just asking for compensation.
Due to the stage of the complaint it's not something I can take on for you and resolve unfortunately.
The next thing to do is to escalate the complaint to next level with us. As your open complain has passed the 8week mark you can now approach the ombudsman, the full process of how this works is on the website (I'm sorry I'm not allowed to post links on the forum)
I do hope this is resolved quickly for you.
Thank you

Have you actually passed the complaint to the ombudsman, and if so when and what (if any) was the response you received.
You are not obligated to use the ombudsman service, and you are not bound by the resolution it suggests. You will be offered the opportunity to accept the proposed resolution, and if you do the supplier will be obligated to abide by it.
Otherwise, you can take your own legal action. But a court will probably ask if you did try to first avoid such action by going to the ombudsman first, and if you did what the proposed resolution was and why you did not feel it appropriate to agree to it.0
