Cheap mortgage for 1 bed or wait for a 2 bed

Hello wise people
I'm currently selling and where I'm buying is an expensive area but worth holding out for.
I have found a one bedroom flat which is well under my budget and would have a very easily affordable mortgage. I wouldn't need to change my lifestyle at all.
Alternatively, I could wait and go for a two bedroom ground floor at the top of my budget, bearing in mind the mortgage would be an extra £200/month more and service charges higher.
I'm on my own and although I like space, I need to think do I actually need it. Is it better to go for something very easily affordable?
Thank you for your help
