Telephone wire Tautness

Does anyone know if a telephone wire has to be a certain tautness.
I had some work done on the house which required the telephone wire being removed.
It has now been replaced but it does not seem to be as taut as it once was.
Thanks

Who took down and then put back up the drop-wire , Openreach or the person who did the work on your house ?
If the drop wire crosses a road it has to be a minimum hight at it's lowest point over the road,it's a safety issue if it's low as a high sided vehicle could bring it down, potentially causing injury to passers by, you can contact OR directly with safety issues their number
BT (consumer) site it says to call OR on
