Protx and 3D Secure Problems?

We use Protx to handle online card payments to Streamline. Recently they have insisted on using 3D Secure to perform extra checks on cards.

We have seen a large increase in abandoned shopping carts as people think they have been transferred to a scam phishing site when the 3D secure page appears. We are concerned as it is making our site look suspicious and we are losing sales. Has anyone else had these kind of problems? Can anyone offer any tips on what to put on the site to reassure customers?

This is nothing to worry about its part of the new online fraud prevention, your customers only have to do it once, but there is a link for your customers to skip it if they'd rather.

Protx are only moving with the times, this will be compulsory for all processing companies in a few months.

This said they failed to publish there intentions to their customers, I for one lost a significant amount of revenue because of it, but once the phone started burning with angry customers terrified by the level of questioning, we put up a notice in our checkout that warned them about it so it wasn’t so scary.
