Others parking in numbered spaces, how to stop them

Thanks Shaun, it's exactly this sort of info I'm looking for. I think I'll be passive aggressive and cut up the labels and place them under the windscreen wiper. If they've any brights at all they'll understand the unspoken comment.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

For those suggesting that they block the offending vehicles in - note that this is a criminal offence - see section 54 of the POFA 2012:
54Offence of immobilising etc. vehicles
(1)A person commits an offence who, without lawful authority—
(a)immobilises a motor vehicle by the attachment to the vehicle, or a part of it, of an immobilising device, or
(b)moves, or restricts the movement of, such a vehicle by any means,
intending to prevent or inhibit the removal of the vehicle by a person otherwise entitled to remove it."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
They aren't intending to prevent the removal though, they are still available to move the car when required. We block workmates in all the time, and just send out an email saying so. If the car doesn't happen to be on the email list, they'd need to ask at reception.0

For this to be classed as criminal damage the damage has to be permanent.
Personally I always found a bit of grease smeared along the wiper blades works well

You're wring it doesn't.
CPS say this about damage.Damage is not defined by the Act. The courts have construed the term liberally. Damage is not limited to permanent damage, so smearing mud on the walls of a police cell may be criminal damage. What constitutes damage is a matter of fact and degree and it is for the court, using its common sense, to decide whether what occurred is damage (Archbold 23-6).
Interesting to see you reccomend committing the offence. :whistle:0 -
Personally I doubt you've ever done that. It would be a stupid thing to do because unless its cleaned off properly it would be dangerous.hollie.weimeraner wrote: »Personally I always found a bit of grease smeared along the wiper blades works well

If the notices on the windscreen don't work, and the posts seem expensive or the management don't agree to it - how about simply putting a cone in your space? Visitors won't get out and move it unless they had to, and even then, might get the message...0

Thank you for demonstrating what can be permanent damage - the wiper blades would have to be replaced.hollie.weimeraner wrote: »For this to be classed as criminal damage the damage has to be permanent.
