Hi guys
Some time ago I bought a netgear DG824M router on fairly bad advice - I soon discovered it was not compatible with AOL so it went to the back of a cupboard!
I am wanting to get my head back into wireless particularly for the summer and the potential of working on the laptop from the garden (or if I am being honest checking MSE!) and was wondering if you knew if my "old" router will now work or if I need to cut my losses and get a new one? BTW Sorry about being with AOL I know you all hate it!!!

Compatible routers with AOL.0 -
I suspect that the 824M will work.
AOL changed things a while ago so that router would work but would only support certain models, hence 'AOL compatible' term, when in fact most routers will work.
The trick is to lower the MTU down to something like 1400 otherwise you can have problems with certain sites. (also do it on the PC's using Dr TCP).
