Help with Samsung e700 anyone?

Well.

My Neice has dropped her Samsung e700 and done a really good job of breaking it too.

The ribbon that goes between the bottom and top of the flipphone has snapped.

I have seen the proceedure via link below and it looks really tricky.

I have contacted Samsung and they say that they would not do it as they would charge too much.

Now I have been inside mobiles before and fixed a few but this looks a bit out of my league.

Anybody have any ideas of where I should go to get it fixed as she loves her phone and is devastated.

I had the same kinda problem on a car stereo. The front flip down panel had worn out the ribbon cable attaching it to the main unit. I found a new ribbon cable for £5 and it was really easy to fix.

The cable itself just slotted into a little white connector. Worked 1st time. If you have experience of taking stuff apart I'm sure you could manage it.

Google for 'samsung e700 ribbon cable fix' and see if theres any pictures to help through it.

I've just seen the actual cable for £14.95 on a website, but my work firewall is blocking it because its 'shopping'.
