Now that someone else has mentioned the Kodi thing ! what IS the 'legallity' of these things.? I have a Firestick with Kodi on it (someone at work 'did' it). In what wasy is it 'illegal'. Obviously Sky/Virgin/Now/Amazon don't like it, but IS it against the law of the land, ie ILLEGAL ?
Talking to a Sky guy, he reckoned these could be 'zapped' by sending a signal down the line (I have Sky, but am obviously thinking of binning this).

It is not illegal to own one, but it is illegal to use it to watch anything with copyright . As neither you , or the uploader has paid any royalties and do not have the right to view or distribute the material.


The sky engineer was talking out of his @ss though when he said they can be killed remotely.
