Landlord Dispute - Any advice?

    How long did you rent for? I expect the landlord will get its fee for carpet cleaning on the basis that it was in the contract and that would be an acceptable request where there are pets. If he has a receipt he is likely to get it all unless the company is dodgy. For the rest as best will get £10-20 depending on how long you were there.

    I was in the property for 15 months.

    Then wear and tear won't be high so maybe a bit more than £20 but unlikely to be £170. Saying that arbitration is.... arbitrary so you never totally know. Of course that's assuming he can provide evidence of the damage.
