Never used an iPhone (never want to), but can't you upload them to a photo shareing site? Or email them to her? Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

She would have to back the iPhone up to iTunes and then restore it as a new phone for you0

If you connect the iphone to a PC using the data lead you should also see the iphone appear as an external drive icon under 'My Computer' (in Windows Explorer).
Double click on it and dig around in the 'DCIM' subfolders to find the photos. You should then be able to copy them onto a memory stick.0 -
Another option that doesn't require any cables is to use her icloud account. Just make sure she's logged in to icloud (it should be in the settings under "icloud") and make sure it's backed up, if there's the option to backup photos then make sure this is turned on or green. She should be able to then either access them on her phone (on the shared option of her photo gallery) and save what she likes, or she can access them on her PC by going to the Icloud website, again she can save them to her PC from there.
It's sort of straightforward but PM me if you'd like a bit of further guidance at all and i'll help where i can.0 -
Dropbox will work.
Also you can buy a memory stick (can be expensive though)0
