Sun Holidays Disability Requests

I need some advice if someone can help. I booked our family holiday around this time last month and 5 minutes after booking I sent them a contact us request for disability requirements. I have subsequently sent them 2 further requests for updates, had a lengthy and frustrating conversation on the facebook page of which I was banned from further communication because they didn't like that I felt I was getting scammed and phoned their offices directly. I got told they would look into it by a woman called Lacey in "customer services" and it would take 5 days (8 days ago). My partner has contacted the park directly who state that they have had no communication from the Sun at all (including up to today's phone call).
I feel like I have no control over the situation and they have made me feel like scum when all I wanted was to make sure that my ex-army, disabled father had adequate facilities for our holiday. The only option available to me at the moment is to pay an extra £50 to the park to do what the Sun promised it would arrange.
What, if anything, can I do to get some control over the situation and what exactly are my rights in a situation like this?

If the park hasn't been contacted by The Sun you can't really expect them to have done anything other than a standard booking yet. It sounds to me like it's something that The Sun has to sort out, if they aren't doing it then bad publicity may do the trick, how about complaining to The Daily Mail?
PS You might get more informed replies on the UK Holidays board if this is a park in the UK, which I suspect it is.0 -
What is it that you need? Have The Sun guaranteed that certain facilities will be available?
I used to work at a holiday park, and no requests were guaranteed unless they were made directly and we then agreed. What is the additional £50 for?0 -
Thank you for the input savers. It is a UK park, I wasn't sure the best place to put this as I am not well versed in forums so my apologies for any faux pas here. Is there any way of moving this now or show I post it again there?
Also, I didn't want to go straight for the bad publicity stunt, which is why I tried to talk direct with someone over the facebook messaging with their page. It may have to come to that in some way I guess but I have never done anything like that before and wouldn't know where to start.
Regards The Sun and their terms, they are very sneaky in the way they hide things, which made our last holiday through them difficult as I missed the deadline for informing them of special requirements (48 hours of booking). I thought I would be fine this year by making sure I got my request in just minutes after booking.
It is now around 20 days till we are supposed to be on holiday and the option I have is either pay for an extra ~£50 to make sure my father has washing facilities he can actually get into without injuring himself (a single bed showroom) and me my partner and kids get a 1 bed room with a pull out bed in the front room.
They state that they will contact the park and if they can't provide suitable accommodation they will have to find another park and/or date that will work. This is fine in normal circumstances but it has got so close to the date that I have had to book the time off work so it needs to be that week. As far as I can tell, something should have been done about it within the first 5 days of notifying them but nothing has happened at all in over 4 weeks.
The Sun's very clever with their terms and wording so they probably have about a thousand outs but I can't catch them all.0
