A Californian woman has successfully sued Microsoft because her Windows 7 machine was bricked when Windows 10 automatically installed itself. I wonder if the floodgates will open to more claims?

Yes I saw that. Although I personally have no problem with Windows 10 and installed it early on quite voluntarily IMO Microsoft were 100% wrong using tricks to force it onto peoples machines.
If there were a big class action in the US and punitive damages awarded maybe we'll all have to take the Linux route (I certainly wouldn't buy into the Apple universe).0 -

It was a bit concerning that she said she'd never heard of Windows 10, if that's the case how did she manage to close down all those pop-ups that will have come up on her computer for the last year? A lucky mouse click with her eyes shut every time perhaps?0

nothing like...... W10 is here, it should only ever be your choice if you install it or not. Serves MS right if they get sued for the underhand way they are trying to force it onto people ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

I wonder if Bill's worried he'll lose all his money “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

It's the third world who should be worried if Bill lost all his dosh. Unlike most billionaires at least he does try to do some good.0
