Morning, no sunshine here, sadly. We are waiting for the garage to come and collect the car, leaving us with a our test car. They botched up a small repair after some person damaged the back while parked. Insurance will sort all this out.

I've been sitting here knitting s jacket for friend's granddaughter, must now go and check lappy as there is a piece of work to come in today.

    See you later

I got up early for builders and filled the dishwasher and had a cup of tea then got a phone call to say they would be delayed so just browsing on here for a while.

It is so lovely to have a kitchen again (well 90% of the kitchen) and to be able to cook properly. I unpacked a few more boxes yesterday and gave away a few bags of dvds, books, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. I hope to sort through more boxes today and decide what stays and what goes. Because of all the building work needed and dealing with the botched electrics, plumbing etc by the previous owner, everything has had to stay in boxes and be moved around the house so things can be done and carpets and new flooring can be laid.

Dumpling I have been putting on weight while the house has been renovated and have only got more on plan in the last week or so and hope to have lost the odd pound when I go to weigh in so know how you feel. Once I find my quiche dishes I would like to make a SW quiche that I can grab anytime as that really helped as would finding my slow cooker etc.

    Hugs to all

Because the weather is so blooming awful I'm staying in the house today. Cold, wet and dull, though mostly cold!

In the absence of any washing to do and having done the dusting and vacuuming already now I'm tackling the small pile of paperwork I didn't get round to scanning into the laptop last week. It's like ironing - I get bored too soon. Unlike ironing which I don't do anymore the papers keep coming. I'm also setting up different folders so I can find the documents if I ever need to rather than leaving them in date order. So far I have 'car', 'utilities', 'credit card', 'HMRC', 'payslips' etc. All good stuff for a rainy day.

For breakfast I cooked up some left over bacon, broke an egg over it and scrambled them together and then poured them over half an avocado. Still feel full.

Good afternoon chums feel like 'shorn the sheep' as my hairdresser went a bit mad with the scissors, but it grows pretty quickly and it gets a trim every 6 weeks. :):)

DGS Ben had his check up from the neck up at the dentists and all's well, just a clean and polish.

Just had some lunch, and will be feet up,knitting in hand and watching the tennis this afternoon.

Washing is dry and I will iron it later, only a small wash really but it gets it out of the way so I can 'play' (watch tennis :):):))

    Enjoy your day chums

P.S. You're doing well dumpling stick with it honey, my eldest DD started there last week and had her weigh in last night and has lost 2lb of her rear and £5.00 from her purse :):):) But she is pleased and needs the encouragement that a meeting gives her x

    Afternoon all
The mornings seem to be all of a rush this week, still I got me & DGS to work/school on time, fed the dog and changed a nappy before 7:30 this morning and I don't have a dog!
Left work and went to the butchers, spent £38 on chicken. ribs, sausages, chops and veg. Spent £3 on a dress in the charity shop, saw another dress I liked but it was £10.95, bit steep I thought so I didn't buy it.
I need to pack some more boxes this evening or we aren't going to meet our deadline.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hardup Hester you wear me out . Wish I had all your energy.

Went to doctors appointment. Am been referred to liver specialist as liver function down. It's probably fatty liver whatever that is . Yet another consequence of diabetes. Discovered that my brother has been rushed to hospital after his blood tests yesterday as severely jaundiced and unable to walk.Got my carrier bag full of medicines from chemist. Mooch round charity shops wasn't anything.Bedding now in tumble drier as rain pelting down.

Hugs to those who want / need them.

DUMPLING keep going you are doing so well.

    Evening everyone

Got back Sunday evening after a fab weekend away. Lovely sunshine every day & great company.

Worked yesterday & overnight. Today has been spent sorting the garden cut hedges & lawn. Kitchen cleaned. Dh made dinner so had to clean kitchen again.

Relationships with dsd are back to normal - blocking contact again. I'm so tired of the game playing. My ds2 has his pre assessment for his army on Thursday so he is travelling back to us tomorrow. Hope he gets through ok. Things are still a bit strained here, mainly due to all the stress to do with family. Ds2 can be argumentative & lose his temper which Dh criticises me for, yet i can't say anything about dsd.

Anyway enough moaning. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.
