I'm worried about the turmoil that will follow the expulsion of England from the football tournament. Should I get my knickers in a twist, or just ask silly questions at MSE?

Glad you opened up a difficult topic, though I am not entirely sure this is the right board for it. I am particularly anxious to know whether the value of England sports kit will fall before I commit to exchange cash for one for my non existent grandson.0

Yes to both.
TBH, I was hoping for win to cheer up the majority of our household of 5 (we were split 4/1 in favor of remain).
So I am going with plan B, baking. Baking in general makes people happier.0 -

Spotted elsewhere:Will anyone join me in sending a petition to Parliament to insist on replaying last night’s match and refusing to accept any result where the winning team scores fewer than 4 goals and is not leading by at least 2 goals at the final whistle?
According to the BBC and the Guardian the Icelanders are beginning to regret winning and, had they known the full facts before the match, would have given England a 2-goal start.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
