it keeps me away from the biscuit tin as well and I swear that I`m losing weight as I`m knitting in all my free time. It`s so addictive but what a hobby!!!

I used knitting when I stopped smoking, and my sister still wears the lovely fairisle cardi I made for her 22 years ago as I struggled with the Evil Weed. I'm sure it would work just as well with the nibbling urge.
When you're in a charity shop, keep your eyes peeled for handknitted garments. Sometimes they are made of good yarn, but have Turned Out All Wrong and never been worn. You can unravel them, wind into skeins (get the kids to help with this, most kids love doing it) wash the skeins to get the kinks out, then rewind into balls.:money:All Art is the transfiguration of the commonplace
