Hi,
I'm looking to go away at the start of September with my mum and her partner. We want somewhere sunny and hot with a restort that's lively enough so that there's things to see and do however not looking for magaluf lively! Probably more of a family resort. Not looking at the canaries as been there many a time. Somewhere that's not too far to fly to as my mum is scared of flying.
Thanks in advance

Ok, well you're going to need to give more information.
1. budget - per person.
2. How long do you want to go for
3. Where are you flying from
4. What board
5. What star rating of hotel
6. Are you looking for a beach holiday? City break?
7. Where in the world do you want to go - europe, asia, the americas etc?
If your mum was scared of flying how would the flight time be an issue? Or is she just unhappy with flying? And what would you consider "not too far"?
You need to answer these before anyone can suggest anything.0 -
Have a look at Santa Eulalia on Ibiza and see if it ticks any of your boxes.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

From my experience last year, I would say that Tsilivi on Zante ticks all the boxes.0

We love Parga, on Mainland Greece. Lovely resort, not "brits abroad" at all, such a pretty place.0

I would second Santa Eulalia in Ibiza (don't believe the hype about Ibiza and clubbing. Only 20% of people go there for that reason) Lovely town and the bonus of only a 2 and a bit hour flight. In fact it was named as one of the top ten unknown places to go in the newspapers last week.0

I would say somewhere like Scala on Kephalonia, Limenaria on Thassos, Ixia or Pefkos in Rhodes, Tsilivi or Alikanas on Zakynthos or San Stefanos or possibly Acharavi on Corfu.
Wherever you go - go GREEK.
Why?
Gorgeous beaches, clear seas, lovely weather, ancient culture with lots to see, and the most friendly people you can meet. Oh - and the pace of life is so relaxed that you can't help but become immersed in it.0 -
Cyprus is not far, try Paphos or Paralimni. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!
