Hi Everyone:j
I need some advice.
I bought a car off Auto-trader.
I did a HPI check on it before I bought it.:T
It didn't have a MOT in 2015:eek:
But it has one now in January 2016.
He is selling on behalf of his Landlord through his business
He said when I went to view it, the car had a few issues he was going to sort out...
Roll on a week.
He drives over the car on Saturday 4th June.
He said hold back some money as there was other things to do with the car.
Fine.
My first purchase was a back wiper for the car...as it didn't have one
(no good for the English weather):(
So he has the car back.
he replaces the locks on the car and the bumper lights.
The passenger tyre kept going down, I thought it might be a faulty valve.
He comes back and says foam been added to the valve and its fine.
Next day the tyre has gone down.
So off I go to the garage, they can't get the tyre off as I didn't have the locking nuts.
Half an hour later, he turns up with the locking nuts.
Then he goes off.
Nail in the tyre, so on goes the spare tyre....
Now being a 4x4, it has a good turbo to get up hills....
No.
On the 18th June, tries going up hill no voom voom.
So get in touch with him again, takes to a garage for the computer to be read last Tuesday 21st June.
Picks it up, "Turbo" I was told, be careful on how you drive it, I was told. He told us he was getting the bits....
I have been told not to drive it because of having no turbo
Tried to chase him up yesterday. He ignored 3 texts yesterday, until my husband was going to return the car.
This is what he said to my husband.
"The previous owner had no problem with the turbo,
He didn't have to change the bumper lights,
The bits are coming soon.
It 's the car's age!"
I know it was 14 years old, but since I have had it, it has spent more time on my drive, or in the garage than me actually driving it!!!!"
It is coming up to 28 days on Saturday.
The car sales invoice stated:
All Keys provided (His Landlord can't find the spare keys)
Service History and invoices hand over (His landlord not in a hurry to hand them over either!!)
His Landlord has got the radio in his car
Locking wheels ( I had to ask for!!)
Now got more lights appearing on the dashboard,( so I have now bought a new brake pedal sensor ...
Now holding my head in my hands
How do I go about returning the car and getting my money back?
Do I go down the small claims route???
Thanks for reading my piece of War and Piece...
