Parked in coach bay...

Hi all,
New to the forum and as most do, worrying about being charged with a parking fine. Ive not received a letter yet but want to know what chance I have of appealing against this and the process of it.
I rushed into a macdonalds carpark at a service station last weekend to use the toilet and came back out, must have been about 10 minutes but didn't read the signs stating that the coach bays were for coaches only and any other vehicle would be subject to a £100 fine.
Facts:
- The signs were clear and on every bay
- Signs stated it was private land
- They were using an ANPR service (with cameras on entrance/exit of carpark)
- Other bays had cars in also (The reason why I didn't read the sign!)
- The car was not owned by the driver
- No ticket was issued during the visit
- The driver of the vehicle was not the registered keeper
If there are only cameras on the entrance/exit how can they prove I was parked illegally?
I'll post up the letter if it arrives. But any information on this kind of situation would be very helpful!

It will not be a fine, it will be a speculative invoice if you do get anything.
You haven't done anything illegal as this is a civil (contract law) matter. You may however have done something unlawful.
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES to understand the process to follow if you do get a PCN through the post.
ANPR cameras won't pick up you abusing a coach parking bay. CCTV, boots on the ground, or mobile erk with a camera might.
However, boots or erk should have resulted in a windscreen ticket. Parking scumpanies however are devious and tell lies, so this doesn't mean you won't get an invoice.
If anything does arrive, it should be within 14 days if ANPR is used, or between days 28 and 56 to meet the requirements of POFA 2012.

If you were going to receive a ticket (invoice, not fine) for parking in a coach bay, you'd have had it stuck to your windscreen. If the only "enforcement" is ANPR then that only records time on site.0

Why worry until it actually happens anyway, as stated ANPR is a useless way of managing car parking and I doubt you will have anything to get into a flap about.
I share your sense of urgency though, my bowels rule my waking hours LOL!0 -

If you weren't compelled to read the signs then the signs could not have been as clear as you make out in your so called facts section. From the Plain Language Commission:
