Does anybody have any experience of Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sports tyres?

I am going to need 4 new tyres in a couple of months for a 2010 Qashqai Acenta 1.6 petrol (size 215/60 R17). I do around 15k a year of mostly motorway driving so fast wearing tyres are a pain - my current Dunlop Grandtrek ST20s would not even have seen me through a year!

Had a look at Uniroyal Rainexpert 3s and Continental Premiun Contact 5s but they will probably not even see me through a year. The Dueler H/P Sports seem better wearing from reviews and were actually OEM on this model. But reviews are mixed.

Does anyone have any experience with these tyres or alternatively what are other Qashqai Acenta owners using?

My mates at those tyres on his CR-V

He never replaced them whilst he owned the car.

If doing above average miles Inwould consider Michelin as they do tend to last better than average.

I had Goodyear Wrangler HP tyres (road biased version) on my Pathfinder and they lasted quite well considering the weight of the vehicle.

A quick check on Oponeo gives this price for Michelin.

Not sure if that is the exact spec you need but they were on of the cheapest premium brands.

You will have to arrange fitting if you go for Oponeo, or use it as a guide when looking to buy elsewhere.

I have no idea how much Costco want for them but if you have access to Costco they are always a good place to consider.

Would those really be suitable for a 4x2 Qashqai? From reviews they seem to be for people that do a bit of offroad too.

They are a road biased tyre. The tread might look more aggressive than say a HP Wrangler but it is not a Mud&Snow tyre just a road tyre with some off road ability. They do a more road focussed version called the Latitude Tour.

I have seen them on X Trails and Foresters.

You could also get Michelin Primacy 3 and if you want an All Season tyre you could consider the Michelin Cross Climate which are another Summer tyre optimised for Winter use, not a specific Winter tyre.

If they are the correct size and load rating you are good to go.

The Cross Climate and Latitude Cross might actually be a little bit better in poor weather so making your car a little bit more flexible, it already has extra ground clearance despite being a 4x2.

I have seen the Cross Climate on several different cars, a Pug 307 to a nearly new Mondeo estate.

Thanks. Will have to read up on the other two but I am familiar with Primacy 3 tyres as they were on the Focus and very good on wear (>30k). Will definitely be going the Michelin route as it is more cost effective in the long run.

Have you checked the reviews here?
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Yes, I did. That was why I was interested in them as most of the Qashqai reviews on there seem to suggest long life.
