LDK pcn in Lidl

PCN issued on 18 May (more than 15 days after alleged offence (April 24)- so possibly another ground on which to fight this). PCN letter arrived when we were on holiday and was for 'not parked wholly within a bay'. The car park was full so we parked at the side and did not block any access etc.
We were on holiday and when we got back we wrote to LDK and sent a copy of our ferry booking form with a letter saying why we refused to pay. The next thing was a notice from a debt collection agency. Took ages to find a contact no. for LDK and when I phoned to complain, they said there was a backlog in the appeals office! They put the debt on hold. We intend to fight this, but the fact that it has gone to a debt collector before LDK replied is rather worrying.

Debt collectors are not worrying, it's not an offence, you don't have a debt, and an out of bay would be on a window invoice not ANPR so the 14 day rule does not apply.

You never phone these parasites either, you need to get up to speed with what is happening here as you don't seem to have grasped it yet.

What happened when you complained to Lidl?
