Yeah you go, spend a lot of your time, get a big sales pitch by professionals who know all the secrets to get you to spend money, then there may be some sort of catch about the vouchers (e.g. you have to mail away for them, wait 8 weeks, it may be off a minimum spend, etc)

There will be enforced viewing of presentations, lengthy talks, compulsory briefing packs, Q and A sessions and expectant and agressive salespeople with quotas to fill.
By the end of the evening you'll pay them to get out.
As a flavour, I went to one of these In Mid-Wales once for a holiday complex. We were genuinely interested and wished to know the prices. However, no amount of questioning would make them tell us until we'd been subjected to the full sales presentation. We walked out eventually, and were sworn at for doing so by the very idiot who could have earned his commision off us if he'd been more straighforward.
    Avoid this, like the plague.

There is in my mind a slight difference between these people and the normal 'timeshare promo', these people sell off plan and resale properties in Spain,

the pressure is not to but here but to try to get you to go on an 'inspection trip' to spain and thats where the pressure starts,

I personally know 2 people that have worked for the company in Spain and the pressure on them to get sales is immense,
However if you are genuinely thinking of buying abroad go to the show if not stay away

Manchester United paid £28.1Million for Juan Sebastian Veron, He played 51 games for them! That Was better value for money than this £50 in M&S Vouchers!

  • The Ward arms has now shut down Colin - Its now the Quality inn.

That says something about it - I dont recommend going they will pressure you heavilly and I bet you wont get the vouchers!

    Hi,

I've been to a presentation a couple of years ago in Leeds. Got my £50 vouchers ok- they were given on the day I think, you do have to spend a long time listening to the sales blurb but it wasn't really pressured and the guy accepted that we weren't interested.

  • I've been to one - NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not worth going even for the voucher - we were told 1hr 50 mins max -that was a lie, nearly 3 hours in total and then they got funny with us, the voucher was given but they made it very clear that we wasted there time!
  • Funny that my mother just recieved a similar one, also in Birmingham, but for £25 instead. She wanted to go with me but i persuaded her not to because i thought there would be a downside.
:confused:I say im a moneysaver, my family think im a cheapskate!

I've been to these in the past and was given the bottles of wine (as it was then) and asked to leave. Reason, their question: what did you pay for your last holiday? Me: 25p and a cuppa coffee - I'd won it! Well they wanted to know the holiday before that - 25p and a packet of ? - I'd won it. After 5 or 6 holidays they gave up and asked me to leave with the wine. That was some years ago before the Internet! Just a suggestion. They don't know if you're speaking the truth!
